One of the drugs that is well-tolerated and considered to be very effective fighting depression is Zoloft 50 mg manufactured by Pfizer. Zoloft 50 mg is prescribed for treatment of the following conditions: depressions, anxiety, panic disorders, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder.
Before starting treatment with Zoloft, do not forget to consult with your doctor. Taking Zoloft at your own decision is prohibited.
The active ingredient of Zoloft is sertraline. Sertraline belongs to a class of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Other drugs in this class are Prozac, Paxil, Celexa and Luvox.
The drug should be administered exactly as it was prescribed: once a day constantly either in the mornings or in the evenings.
Zoloft is available in capsule and oral concentrate forms. To prepare Zoloft oral concentrate, use the dropper provided. Measure out the amount of concentrate prescribed by your doctor and mix it with 4 ounces of water, ginger ale, lemon/lime soda, lemonade, or orange juice. (Do not mix the concentrate with any other type of beverage.) Drink the mixture immediately; do not prepare it in advance for later use. At times, a slight haze may appear after mixing, but this is normal.
